Facebook chief  Mark Zuckerberg  on Thursday announced the parent company's name is being changed to " Meta " to represent a future beyond just its troubled social network.  The name change comes as the company battles criticisms from lawmakers and regulators over its market power, its algorithmic decisions and the policing of abuses on its platforms. CEO Mark Zuckerberg, speaking at the company's live-streamed virtual and augmented reality conference, said the new name reflected its focus on building the metaverse. "We've learned a lot from struggling with social issues and living under closed platforms, and now it is time to take everything that we've learned and help build the next chapter," Zuckerberg said. Reliance Jio reached 50 million prime subscribers!!

With the closing of free services from April 1, Reliance Jio has reached a base 50 million prime subscribers providing the company with strong hold in telecom market after closing of free services. A company official told that jio has reached 50% of its target in prime subscription. He also told that out of 100-105 million subscribers, 30% are secondary connections opted for free net. And 70% are unique customers which jio is targeting to convert at least Two-third to prime members. At 50 million Jio will become largest provided of paid broadband services in India. To enroll in jio Prime which is ending tomorrow customers need to one time fee of R's 99 and then select their packs which which starts from Rs 149 per month providing free calls and 1 Gb high speed data daily.
