Facebook chief  Mark Zuckerberg  on Thursday announced the parent company's name is being changed to " Meta " to represent a future beyond just its troubled social network.  The name change comes as the company battles criticisms from lawmakers and regulators over its market power, its algorithmic decisions and the policing of abuses on its platforms. CEO Mark Zuckerberg, speaking at the company's live-streamed virtual and augmented reality conference, said the new name reflected its focus on building the metaverse. "We've learned a lot from struggling with social issues and living under closed platforms, and now it is time to take everything that we've learned and help build the next chapter," Zuckerberg said. Whatsapp to bring back old status feature after facing criticism for users!

Whatsapp is set to bring back its old status feature in next of its updates after facing criticism from its users.

  As you know few weeks ago Whatsapp rolled out the Snapchat story like feature in its application for its customers. 

 But this new feature recieved lots of criticism from users which didn't left differences in Snapchat and Whatsapp. Now whatsapp is set to bring Back the old status feature but according to rumours the new snapchat like feature will also work along with it.
The beta version of Whatsapp highlights this along with other custom changes.
Let us recall the definition of beta versions of applications for our viewers who are not aware of the term. Beta version is a version of the application that is released for testing to a limited number of users who are part of the beta testing program eventually to get the feedback for any bugs in the application before its initial release to the general users. 

 People can join beta testing program and can get exclusive features of the apps before they are released to general audience.
Let's take an example --> few months ago Whatsapp rolled out the video calling feature to its audience. But do you know that it was available 2 months before in the beta version of the application.

 Now you have understanded the definition of Beta. Few days ago Whatsapp released a new Beta version of the  application. 
These Beta included many features including the come back of old whatsapp status feature along with the new snapchat feature. Other modifications were separation of voice and video calling button & relocation of attachment button to bottom.

 This version will be rolled out officially in few weeks. As it is the Beta version and it hasn't been made official it is predictable that it get changes.
